Israeli Indie #4 - Outcore: Desktop Adventure
What if a game took over your desktop? This hit Israeli indie game transforms your PC into an innovative playground, breaking the fourth wall with puzzles, humor, and a heartfelt story.

Doctor Shinobi/Orgad Arbel
Outcore: Desktop Adventure is a one-of-a-kind indie game that turns your Windows desktop into a playground. Developed by Israeli indie creator Orgad Arbel (also known as Doctor Shinobi). It is a fresh, deeply engaging experience packed with humor, absurdity, chutzpah, and heart that follows Lumi, a mysterious girl who appears on your desktop, searching for lost memories hidden in your files. Players solve creative puzzles using real desktop tools like MS Paint and Notepad to help Lumi recover her past.
We were lucky enough to interview Orgad Arbel, and just like Outcore, his insights were bold, unexpected, and unforgettable. We’re proud to present an interview that’s just as unique as the game itself.

Recognized by major gaming outlets like Destructoid and GameByte and gaining over 14,000 reviews on Steam, praising its originality, emotional depth, inventive mechanics, and unique sense of humor. The game holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating, cementing its status as a standout indie title.
Its boundary-breaking design earned it The Innovative Outlaw Award at BitSummit X-Roads 2022, Japan’s prestigious indie game festival, where it was celebrated for pushing the limits of conventional game design. Orgad happened to be in the summit, but had no idea they were participating in the competition.
